This was just a solid selection for a weekend escape in San Diego with outstanding value. The kids loved watching the planes land right from our window, which added excitement to our stay. If noise bothers you, maybe bring earplugs.

The essential king studio suite had great amenities like a dishwasher and microwave. Breakfast was awesome with fresh croissants. The pool area was nice and clean. The fitness center was well-equipped. Staff were super helpful, even storing my son’s food to keep it fresh. Highly recommend!

The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially Alfonso, who helped us get connected rooms.

The room setup was actually great, the separate toilet and shower? Genius. We enjoyed the $5 happy hour specials at the restaurant down below, it saved us a bit of cash, and there was that free brioche loaf offer when you showed your room key.

But honestly, we didn’t get what we paid for, it wasn’t exactly inexpensive and the amenities were mediocre.

However, while the location allowed easy walks to Little Italy and nearby attractions, the flat pillows were disappointing and affected our sleep quality.
